At Nutrien, innovation is at the heart of everything we do. From our award-winning, LEED-certified headquarters in Saskatoon to our network of six mines across Saskatchewan, we are proud to be at the forefront of advancements that benefit province and the world. Our innovative approaches and technologies support 600,000 growers directly and hundreds of thousands more through our global potash exports, ensuring that we continue to feed the future.
Mining Innovations: We utilize autonomous mining operations, which allow us to safely and efficiently extract valuable resources from challenging underground environments, minimizing workforce exposure, maximizing safety, and enhancing productivity. We were among the earliest adopters of electric vehicles. Furthermore, our technology incorporating AI around belt maintenance and use is at the leading edge of industry.
Advanced Crop Inputs: We are dedicated to developing and providing advanced crop inputs that increase yield and improve crop resilience.
Seed Innovations: Nutrien’s canola-breeding research and development facility in Saskatoon helps drive the province’s global competitiveness, increasing resistance to environmental influences and pests while increasing yields.
Precision agriculture technologies: Nutrien develops and helps growers make data-driven decisions. Tools like GPS-guided equipment, remote sensing, and data analytics enable precise application of inputs, maximizing efficiency and minimizing environmental impact.
